Ghost Town Trail
The Ghost Town Trail near Johnstown, PA is named for the abandoned
towns along the trail. It is configured like a lollipop. It has a 32
mile loop and an 18 mile stem. I rode it in the summer, 2026, shortly after
the loop was completed. Its smooth crushed stone surface runs past
parks, old iron furnaces, mining memorials and of course, ghost
towns.
