Abandoned Turnpike

Post-apocalyptic, surreal and surely the most unique bike ride I have ever done. It is a stretch of the Pennsylvania turnpike that was abandoned in 1968 because it was cheaper to build a new road around these mountains than it was to expand the tunnels. Lights are a must have to venture into one of the abandoned mile long tunnels. Learn more at the Pike 2 Bike website.
